LiR – Librarian in Residence, so lautet der Titel des Residenzprogramms für Mitarbeitende deutschen Bibliotheken und Informationseinrichtungen, das jährlich von BI-International ausgeschrieben wird ein bis zwei Spezialist*innen zu einem definierten Thema Fachaufenthalt ins Ausland entsendet. Nach Anfängen 2008-2018 den USA fand LiR-Programm Niederlanden statt seit Beginn Partnerland-Initiative mit Tschechien 2022 nun Tschechischen Republik fortgeführt. Der Artikel stellt Programm, seine Entwicklung, Ausrichtung, Zielvorgabe Erfahrungen vor.
